Job Description - Full-Time Teacher - Part-Time

Full-Time/Part-Time Tuition Teacher (Primary English & Math) – International School Focus | Teaching Pay + Incentives | Career Progression

Company / About Us

We are a growing tuition centre in Singapore focused on delivering measurable learning outcomes for students and a high-quality experience for parents. We serve a strong base of international school families, with many Chinese parents and primary/secondary school aged children. As we expand our teaching capacity and build out group classes, we are hiring full-time/part-time teachers to join our team.

If you enjoy teaching, structured lesson delivery, and being part of a centre that is building strong programmes and teaching systems, we would like to speak with you.

Role Overview

This is a teaching-focused role responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student progress in a structured centre environment. You will teach 1-to-1 lessons and small group classes. You will also conduct diagnostics for new students and recommend learning plans, using the centre’s templates and teaching resources.

In addition, you will support centre-planned marketing activities from a teacher’s perspective (e.g., delivering academic sharing sessions and assisting with workshops), without being required to perform sales or lead conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Lesson Delivery (Core)

  • Teach Primary School English and Mathematics (minimum requirement).
  • Deliver lessons primarily in a 1-to-1 format, with opportunities to take on group classes as the centre expands.
  • Cover ad hoc lessons when other teachers are unavailable, subject to scheduling needs.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and lesson quality standards.

Student Assessment & Learning Plans

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments for new students (academic strengths/weaknesses and recommended plan).
  • Support learning plan execution and ensure students receive appropriate practice and progression.

Lesson Planning & Materials

  • Follow centre syllabus/materials and contribute to lesson planning where needed.

Support for Centre-Planned Marketing Activities (Non-Sales)

  • Participate in centre-planned marketing and outreach activities such as:
  • Academic sharing sessions / parent information talks (centre-provided outline/materials).
  • Workshops or trial lessons to showcase teaching approach and student learning outcomes.
  • Assisting with marking of short diagnostic/trial papers used during events.
  • Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve teaching messaging and parent education content.
  • (Note: You are not required to close sales or handle enrolment conversions.)

Centre Support (Baseline)

  • Be present during scheduled working hours and support a structured learning environment.
  • Coordinate with centre management on basic student progress observations and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen / Permanent Resident / Long-term local resident (no pass sponsorship).
  • Proficiency in teaching Primary School English and Mathematics (minimum requirement).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese (spoken and written).
  • Able to work evenings and weekends consistently.

Bonus / Preferred

  • 2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to teach additional subjects and/or Secondary / Tertiary levels is a strong advantage.
  • Experience teaching international school students is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive overall compensation (teaching pay + incentives) with opportunities to increase earnings through additional teaching load and group classes.
  • Supportive team environment with teaching systems, templates, and centre resources.
  • Clear progression pathway (based on performance):
  • Teacher → Senior Teacher / Academic Lead → Centre Academic Manager
  • Hands-on exposure to a growing centre with room to shape teaching programmes.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume with a short note describing:

  • Your teaching experience and subjects/levels you can teach, and
  • Why you are interested in teaching in a tuition centre serving international school families.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
