ICT Trainer - Hougang - Part-Time

Contract Period: 1 June 2024 to 30 November 2024 with an option to extend for another year

Working hours:

· Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:45pm, inclusive of 45 mins lunch break

· The Authority reserves the right to vary the timing of the working hours when required.

· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

· Candidate will be offered a 42.5-hour workweek.

Scope of services:

1. Conduct ICT Courses for Students (Pri 1 to Pri 6) in

a. New Media Literacies (e.g Curate, Connect and Create)

b. Touch Typing (School-owned software)

c. Internet Security, Subject/Content research and copyrights issues

d. School’s Learning Management System – Student Learning Space (SLS)

e. Basic Photo Editing

f. G suite Education Apps

- Google Docs/ Slides/ Excel

- Google Classroom

- Google Site

g. ICT Baseline Assessment

h. Web-based Collaboration tools e.g. Padlet, Kahoot, Mentimeter

i. Coding and Programming (e.g Scratch/ Scratch Junior/ Scratch Up/ Microbit)

2. Any other ICT related tasks and administrative duties given by School Leaders or HOD.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

1. Preferably 3 years’ experience training primary school students in ICT software and skills.

2. Preferably a Diploma or equivalent in ICT related field.

3. Proficient in Google Suite for Education (e.g Google Docs/ Sites/ Slides and Classroom).

4. Proficient in Coding applications (e.g. Scratch/ Scratch Junior/ Scratch Up/Microbit).

5. Proficient in video creation skills (using video animation software like iMovies).

6. Proficient in animation creation skills (using animation software like Powtoons).
