Japanese Teacher - Part-Time

We are looking for a passionate Japanese Language Teacher to join our team.

The Role

We are recruiting a Japanese language teacher to work with two groups of learners:

- Foreign (non-native) students*learning Japanese as an additional language, at varying proficiency levels (beginner to advanced)

- Students preparing for structured curricula, including:

- O-Level Japanese

- IBDP Japanese (Language B / ab initio, or Language A as applicable)

- Other international school Japanese language tracks as required

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Japanese language lessons tailored to the student's level and goals (conversational fluency, exam preparation, or curriculum-specific content)

- Prepare teaching materials, practice exercises, and mock assessments aligned with O-Level or IBDP syllabus requirements where applicable (teacher material will also be provided)

- Assess student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents

- Support exam preparation strategies, including past-paper practice and oral/listening components

- Adapt teaching style for a diverse student base, including complete beginners and students with some prior exposure to Japanese

- Collaborate with the academic team on curriculum and resource development

Requirements

- Native or near-native fluency in Japanese; JLPT N1 or equivalent preferred for non-native speakers

- Recognised teaching qualification, or a degree with relevant teaching/tutoring experience

- Familiarity with O-Level and/or IBDP Japanese syllabus strongly preferred

- Experience teaching Japanese as a foreign language (JFL) to non-native learners

- Good command of English for lesson delivery and communication with international students and parents

- Patient, culturally sensitive, and adaptable teaching style

- Singapore Citizens, PRs, or LTVP holders are welcome to apply

このたび、情熱を持って指導にあたっていただける**日本語教師**を募集いたします。

募集内容

以下2つの生徒層を対象に、日本語を指導していただける方を募集します:

- 日本語を母語としない生徒(外国人生徒)への日本語指導(初級〜上級まで、レベルに応じて)

- 特定のカリキュラムに沿った試験対策を必要とする生徒への指導、具体的には:

- Oレベル 日本語

- IBDP 日本語(Language B/初習者向け、または必要に応じてLanguage A)

- その他インターナショナルスクールの日本語コースに対応するもの

業務内容

- 生徒のレベルや目標(会話力向上、試験対策、カリキュラムに沿った内容など)に応じた授業の計画・実施

- Oレベル・IBDPのシラバスに沿った教材、練習問題、模擬試験の作成

- 生徒の学習進度の評価、生徒・保護者への定期的なフィードバック

- 過去問演習、リスニング・スピーキング対策を含む試験対策サポート

- 初心者から日本語学習経験のある生徒まで、多様な生徒層に合わせた指導スタイルの調整

- カリキュラムや教材開発における学務チームとの連携

応募資格

- 日本語ネイティブ、またはネイティブに近いレベルの日本語力(非母語話者の場合はJLPT N1相当が望ましい)

- 教員資格をお持ちの方、または指導・家庭教師経験のある大卒の方

- Oレベルおよび/またはIBDP日本語のシラバスに関する知識があると尚可

- 外国語としての日本語(JFL)を非母語話者に指導した経験

- 授業運営および国際生徒・保護者とのコミュニケーションに支障のない英語力

- 忍耐強く、異文化への理解があり、柔軟に対応できる指導スタイル

- シンガポール国籍・永住権保持者、またLTVPをお持ちの方(応募条件は掲載前に要確認)
