Part-Time Trainer (Special Needs)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time skilled and compassionate Skills Trainer to join our team in providing art and craft-based programs for young adults with special needs. The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs individuals, a strong background in art and/or special education, good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement art program and craft-based programs for young adults with special needs
• Provide individualized instruction and support to participants
• Adapt programs to meet the unique needs and goals of each participant
• Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive support for participants
• Evaluate participant progress and adjust programs as needed
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
• Communicate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals as needed

Requirements:

• Diploma in Art, Special Education, or related field
• Experience working with individuals with special needs (minimum 2 years)
• Strong background in art therapy and/or special education
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt programs to meet individual needs and goals
• Patience, empathy, and understanding of autism and its effects on individuals and families
