Pastoral Care Officer

Job Summary:
Support students' emotional, social, and behavioral well-being by building positive relationships, providing mentoring, and working closely with school staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-to-one mentoring and emotional support for assigned students.
• Guide students in developing positive behaviours, coping skills, and conflict resolution.
• Support restorative conversations and student reintegration when needed.
• Assist with small group programmes on social skills and emotional well-being.
• Conduct home visits (with a colleague) according to school protocols.
• Work closely with School Counsellors, teachers, and parents to support student progress.
• Maintain basic records of student interactions and follow-up actions.

Qualification:

·       Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field or a relevant qualification

·       It is also preferred for the Youth Worker to have relevant experience:

·       Minimum 1-2years of experience working with children in educational or community or social service settings

·       Familiarity with restorative practice principles

·       Ability to communicate in Malay and an understanding of Malay-Muslim family and community contexts

Contract Period

: From 17 August 2026 to 31 Dec 2026 (base year)with an option year from 1 Jan 20207 to 31 Dec 2027
