Pastoral Care Officer - Teck Whye - Part-Time

Contract Period:  From 1 Aug 2026 to31 Jul 2027 with an option to extend the contract for another year

Working hours:
·    Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
·    Fridays: 7.30am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
·    Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services:
-        One-on-One Support: Serve as a dedicated befriender and mentor to Higher Needs Students (HNS).
-        Motivational Talks: Plan and conduct motivational talks to inspire students and build resilience, drawing on personal experiences, where appropriate.
-        Physical Activity: Lead and facilitate simple, age-appropriate physical exercises or light physical activities with students to promote mental and physical well-being.
-        Homework Care: Monitors and ensures completion of homework.

Qualification, Skills & Experience:
·    Minimum Diploma qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or a related discipline.
·    At least 2 years of experience in youth work, student support, or social services.
·     Basic first aid, crisis de-escalation or Mental Health First Aid certifications are strong advantages
