Primary School Science Tutor - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus.
• Assess students' learning needs and customise lesson plans to maximise learning outcomes.
• Teach scientific concepts, practical applications, and scientific reasoning.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and examinations.
• Develop students' curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through interactive learning.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and hands-on learning activities.
• Uphold ATOP Academy's teaching standards, values, and commitment to academic excellence.

Requirements

• GCE O-Level, GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, Science, or a related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Primary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
