Research Assistant (NIE-CRPP) - Part-Time

The National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 6-month contract (renewable) at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy & Practice. The research project intends to examine the effect of data literacy professional development on teachers’ outcomes, namely knowledge and beliefs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related disciplines

• Good theoretical knowledge of research designs in general

• Preferably with working experience in research project and familiar with research methods

• Experience with conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines

• Proactive and able to work independently

• Being a good team player

• A self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed

Responsibilities

• Conduct participant recruitment and collect data

• Conduct literature scans to support research and perform research analysis

• Manage project-related administrative work

• Write/prepare research reports, publications and presentation materials independently

• Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from external institutions

• Other research and project management tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI)
