Speech & Communication Teacher - Part-Time

Speech Academy is a growing enrichment centre dedicated to helping children become confident and effective communicators. We focus on developing essential life skills through public speaking, oral communication, storytelling, critical thinking, confidence building, and expressive communication. We work with preschool, primary and secondary students through engaging and interactive lessons aligned with real-world communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging speech and communication lessons for students aged 4–16 years old
• Teach areas such as: Public Speaking, Oral Communication, Storytelling, Presentation, SkillsReadin Aloud, Picture Discussion, Confidence & Stage Presence
• Deliver lessons using our structured in-house curriculum and frameworks
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents
• Prepare students for showcases, performances, competitions and presentations
• Encourage participation, confidence and creativity among students
• Support curriculum improvement and classroom activities where required

Requirements

• Passionate about teaching and working with children
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Confident, energetic and engaging personality
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Prior teaching, public speaking, drama, education or enrichment experience preferred
• Fresh graduates with strong communication skills are welcome to apply
• Ability to connect well with both children and parents
• Creative, patient and willing to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Education, Speech & Drama, Communications, English, Psychology or related fields
• Experience in enrichment centres or teaching environments
• Experience handling children from preschool to upper primary levels
