Swimming Coach - Part-Time

Job Summary

Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to children of various ages and skill levels, ensuring participant safety and supporting swimming events and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct swimming lessons for children across different age groups and skill levels to enhance their swimming abilities
• Enforce pool safety rules and continuously monitor participants to maintain a safe swimming environment
• Develop and customize individual lesson plans to address the unique needs and progress of each student
• Support the organization and execution of swimming events and competitions to promote skill development and engagement

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold ASCTA, AUSTSWIM, or NROC certification to ensure professional swimming instruction standards
• Maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED training and certification for emergency preparedness
• Demonstrate strong swimming skills and the ability to effectively demonstrate swimming techniques

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Exhibit patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to foster a supportive learning environment
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate lesson schedules and events
• Experience working with children of all ages to adapt teaching methods appropriately
