Teacher Aide - Part-Time

This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Teacher Aide.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Primary School located in Chua Chu Kang.

Contract Period: From 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025

Option to Extend: From 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
• Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
• Services not required on Saturdays, Sunday and gazette public holidays.

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Collaborate with external partners and manage after-school programmes where he/she will assist in the attendance and overall discipline of the group of students,
• Assist Assistant Year Head (AYH) in charge with designing customised daily after-school programmes with prospective partners for segmented groups of high needs (HN) students to motivate and engage them to attend school,
• Keep close monitoring on specific information of individual HN students during and after school,
• Assist in the organising Learning Journey of HN students with AYH in charge; and
• Provide support to administrative operations and carry out any other tasks/duties assigned by Administration Manager & School Leaders.

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• At least GCE ‘O’ Level or the equivalent
• At least 2 years working experience in primary schools as educator or teaching support staff
• Able to monitor and manage students in completing their tasks on hand
• Has good communication skills and can work well with students
• Must be strong in administrative tasks like keeping records and filing
