Youth Worker Part-Time Tanglin Halt Road

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain positive mentoring relationships with identified students over a 6-month period.
• Provide academic and socio-emotional support to help students reintegrate into school.
• Conduct home visits and support student attendance through school escorting when required.
• Plan and facilitate after-school intervention,mentoring, engagement, and academic support programmes.
• Monitor student progress, identify needs, and document observations for appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with Year Heads, Assistant Year Heads,and school leaders to support student development.
• Provide regular feedback and recommendations toimprove student support programmes.
• Evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend enhancements at the end of each school term.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, andadhere to school policies and instructor expectations.
• Foster students' holistic development, charactergrowth, and overall well-being.

Requirements:

• Registered Social Worker or Registered Social WorkPractitioner with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant social work experience.
• Experience in school social work preferred.
• Experience working with children and youth in community settings is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of youth development, studentengagement, and case management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Should have a proven track record in delivering social work-related services.
