Associate Engineer, NextGen OTT Platform #GRIT - Part-Time

The GRaduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT) Programme is an initiative by Workforce Singapore (WSG) that offers fresh graduates with traineeship opportunities* for a period of 3 to 6 months across various sectors. 

The programme aims to support fresh graduates, with no prior working experience, from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions), amid uncertainties in the economy. It supports structured traineeships for trainees to gain hands-on industry-relevant experience and skills, preparing them for successful transition into full-time employment.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:  

• Graduated in 2024, 2025 or 2026 from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), or other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
• Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024, 2025 or 2026
• Applicants must have no prior working experience and must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship

Make an impact by:

Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) & DevOps Operations

• Support CI/CD deployment activities for CAST Over The Top (OTT) platforms across development, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor deployment pipelines, perform health checks, and assist in troubleshooting deployment issues to ensure service reliability.
• Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to support automation, continuous integration, and smooth release operations.

OTT Application Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing for OTT applications across mobile, Smart TV, web, and streaming platforms.
• Validate streaming quality, login flows, subscription journeys, and overall user experience.
• Log and track defects, support UAT activities, and maintain test reports and technical documentation.

Innovation & Hands-On Experience

• Gain practical exposure to OTT platforms, cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and media streaming technologies.
• Contribute to improving deployment efficiency, application quality, and customer viewing experience.
