Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Short Term - Part-Time

• Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Protections systems / schemes, experience with IEC61850 / GOOSE communications is highly desirable
• Commissioning of numerical relays from ABB, SIEMENS and GE for Line, Transformer, Generator, Bus-bar protections,
• Commissioning, testing and maintaining various HV/LV Plant/Assets like Transformer, Switchboard, Distrubution Board.
• Provide technical support and training to technicians.
• Provide leadership and supervision to technicians.
• Competent in preparing test procedures for high voltage components
• Competent in preparation of commissioning protection test plans
• Competent in preparation of project work packs

Engineering Degree or Diploma in Power Systems would be highly regarded.

1. Minimum 5 years' experience.
2. Testing of Protection relays from ABB, Siemens, GE. Schneider etc.
3. Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably.
4. Knowledge of appropriate International Standards.
5. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
6. Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
7. Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
8. Proven experience in using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing.
