Junior Infrastructure Engineer (Backup And Recovery) L Contract L Up To $5K - Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of IBM Storage Protect (TSM) and comparable backup solutions
• Perform installation, configuration, and implementation of IBM Storage Protect
• Provide 24/7 operational support, including working in shifts and handling critical incidents independently
• Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for BAU (Business As Usual) backup activities
• Monitor backup jobs, perform recovery operations, and ensure SLA adherence
• Provide remote and onsite support as required
• Analyze and resolve escalated backup and recovery issues within target timelines
• Conduct problem determination and root cause analysis for recurring issues
• Audit and optimize backup policies, retention, and environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams

Requirement

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in an Infrastructure / IT Support / Backup role
• Basic or working knowledge of IBM Storage Protect (Windows & UNIX)
• Willingness to learn and grow in backup and recovery technologies
• Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and shift-based environment
