Lead Structural Engineer - Part-Time

For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: PMT Leadership — Structural Division

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Your mission is to hold final technical authority over the structural division scope, ensuring the shipyard's fabrication, installation, and commissioning handover is delivered safely, to specification, and

on schedule.

• Serve as the ultimate structural authority for the Peak Ocean PMT.
• Manage critical technical interfaces between Peak Ocean, the Engineering Manager, the shipyard technical office, and classification societies (DNV/ABS).
• Lead the review and final approval of global structural analysis models, major structural modifications, conversion designs, and loadout/sea-fastening procedures.
• Manage and mentor Senior and Structural Engineers on site.
• Ensure all modifications take into account long-term marine fatigue, corrosion management, and environmental load criteria specific to the asset's operational field.
• Hold final accountability for the structural division's contribution to on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with the Asset Readiness Lead on structural inputs to the critical spares list and two year spares list.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Naval Engineering.
• Deep understanding of international structural codes (AWS D1.1, API RP 2A, AISC) and Classification Society rules for offshore units (ABS/DNV).
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in offshore/marine construction or fabrication.
• Minimum 5+ years of PMT / Client Representative experience leading teams.
• Excellent command and with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
