Job Description - Project Digitalization Manager - Part-Time

Project Digitalization Manager

Job Summary

The Project Digitalization Manager leads all digitalization activities within the project, including the design, integration, and implementation of digital and AI solutions. The role ensures that digital technologies are effectively embedded across the full project lifecycle to drive efficiency, compliance, innovation, and contractual alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Governance

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive digital implementation plans aligned with overall project scope, including:
  • Execution plans and procedures
  • Project schedules
  • Requisitions
  • Vendor evaluation reports
  • Workshop reports
  • Testing and training plans
  • RACI matrices
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity standards in collaboration with the client.
  • Ensure cybersecurity controls are embedded across all digital solutions.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of digital specialists across domains such as:
  • Engineering
  • Construction
  • Commissioning
  • CMMS
  • Well testing
  • Flow assurance

2. Solution Design & Implementation

  • Lead digital and AI solution design workshops, reviewing project specifications and documenting outcomes, actions, and decisions.
  • Develop technical requisitions and technical bid evaluations (TBE) for Digital System Integrators (DSI) and other digital vendors.
  • Manage DSI scope, delivery, and performance across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop interface management plans and coordinate stakeholders to define integration points between existing and new digital systems.
  • Define data collection templates for Data FEED across digital solutions and interfaces.
  • Implement staging environments for solution build, integration, and testing.

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between:
  • Client / company
  • Contractors
  • Digital System Integrators (DSI)
  • Digital vendors
  • Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and engagement processes for digital solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between all stakeholders on digital delivery scope, timelines, and integration requirements.

4. Digital Lifecycle Management

Oversee digital solutions across allproject phases:

  • Evaluation & Implementation
  • Design (Data collection, functional design, detailed design)
  • Build
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Site Commissioning
  • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Integrated SAT (iSAT)
  • As-built documentation and Go-Live
  • Testing and training activities

5. Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop dashboard reporting and digital project status updates.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure timely delivery of digital milestones.
  • Provide regular progress reporting to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
  • Proven experience delivering digitalization in large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Experience in:
  • EPC Digital Twin / O&M Digital Twin
  • AI and data-driven solutions in industrial environments
  • IT systems, data management, and cybersecurity frameworks
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Project execution planning
  • RACI matrices and interface management
  • Full project lifecycle digital integration
  • Deep domain knowledge in Oil & Gas digital applications, including:
  • Real-time flow assurance monitoring
  • Well testing systems
  • Robotics, AR/VR applications
  • Other advanced digital engineering tools

Cybersecurity Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of IT/OT cybersecurity in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEC 62443.

Tools & Platforms

  • Hands-on experience with digital platforms such as:
  • AVEVA PI
  • Cognite Data Fusion

Leadership & Delivery

  • Proven experience managing system integrators and multiple digital/IT vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience running digital design workshops end-to-end.

Essential Criteria
