Resident Engineer - Part-Time

About the Company

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy with an established presence in Singapore, delivering professional supervision and engineering consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of upcoming developments, they are seeking experienced Resident Engineers (REs) to support project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and contract obligations. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction works on-site in accordance with contract specifications and approved drawings.
• Review technical submissions including shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Ensure compliance with BCA regulations, project specifications, and relevant Singapore standards.
• Monitor construction quality, progress, and workmanship.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, Qualified Persons (QPs), and project stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing, and verify completed works.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements throughout project execution.

About the Candidate

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Registered as a Resident Engineer (RE) with the relevant Singapore authority.
• Proven experience supervising construction projects in Singapore.
• Strong understanding of BCA regulations, construction methodologies, and local codes of practice.
• Excellent technical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
