Senior Project Engineer - Part-Time

About the Role

Our client, is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support a major FPSO project. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing EPC project activities to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives within schedule and budget.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, package management, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Assist the Area Manager in managing assigned EPC work scopes and project deliverables.
• Coordinate and oversee designated project packages or mini-projects to ensure successful execution.
• Support project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to achieve project milestones.

Project Planning & Monitoring

• Develop and maintain project execution plans and schedules for assigned work scopes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall project schedule.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule risks and delays.
• Expedite engineering, procurement, and construction activities to support project deliverables.

Engineering & Procurement Coordination

• Track engineering progress and timely issuance of deliverables required by downstream functions.
• Monitor procurement activities, purchase orders, package engineering activities, and vendor deliverables.
• Ensure engineering reviews and approvals for package vendors are completed on schedule.
• Follow up on critical vendor documentation and equipment delivery schedules.

Construction Support

• Monitor construction activities and readiness of engineering deliverables.
• Ensure fabrication drawings, technical documentation, and equipment are delivered according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical and schedule-related issues.

Technical Reviews & Stakeholder Management

• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP sessions, workshops, and technical meetings.
• Develop and maintain action registers and ensure timely closure of action items.
• Communicate project risks, concerns, and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare project progress updates and support management reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering preferred. Diploma holders with extensive FPSO/Oil & Gas project experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 8 -10 years of project engineering experience within the Oil & Gas EPC, or FPSO industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and EPC project execution.
• Experience coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Knowledge of FPSO projects, offshore production facilities, or similar Oil & Gas assets.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.
• PMP Certification will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• FPSO new build, conversion, topsides integration, or offshore project experience.
• Exposure to package management, vendor coordination, and schedule tracking.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary international project teams.
