Tank Maintenance Engineer (Bukom) - Part-Time

Your role

Our major Oil & Gas Downstream Client is looking for Tank Engineers who will be responsible for working jointly and in close cooperation with PU maintenance, operation, Engineering, TAC, and technology teams to ensure the integrity, reliability and availability of storage tanks and related facilities in Oil Movements to support the other Production Units in providing feed stock and rundown storages to optimize their GRMs.

The role focuses on the execution of all tank maintenance work including maintenance capital replacement projects and tanks and related infrastructural activities in Oil Movements, working together with a multi-disciplinary team of Maintenance, Turnaround, and Construction staff and contractors in a safe, cost effective, and efficient manner:

• To deliver tank maintenance/project activities relating to maintenance capital replacement projects.
• To deliver tanks maintenance program as per the plan, including all the infrastructure and related works. The scope includes 210 storage tanks of CRUDE, GASOIL, MOGAS, KERO, PCG, FUELOIL, LUBOIL, BITUMEN, SOLVENTS, BUNKERS etc.13 LPG storage spheres
• Fire-fighting facilities on tanks, spheres etc.
• Ensures that the service level of the integrated tank maintenance program is high and shall be cost effective and efficient providing "best in class” performance.  Assists the Maintenance Supervisor (ITM) in taking on responsibility for all aspects of maintenance (HSSE, Meeting Plan, KPIs, Budget, etc.) for the team.
• Integrated team members in tank maintenance and inspection strategies which are developed jointly with operations, MTAC, engineering, technology, E&S and other stakeholders, including tank cleaning strategy support that will support minimizing backlog, shortening the maintenance duration and improving availability.
• Execution work is carried out with compliance to LSR, 9PSF and work processes (e.g. GAME-ME, MOC)

Accountabilities: 

• Ensures work safety for staff & contractors in compliance with HSSE standards (LSR and 9PSF) and participates in safety audits, safety walkabouts and other safety initiatives.
• Prepares/reviews Job Hazard Analysis, Method Statements, lifting plans and ensure that the work is executed in accordance with these and Permit-to-Work and Clearance requirements.
• Drives the productivity of contractors like Time on Tools to optimize resources and costs.
• Assures material needed to complete job is on site
• Identifies obstacles in the workflow and work to resolution
• Ensures that the quality of work by the team and contractors are kept at a high level to prevent repeat failures and achieve plant integrity and reliability.
• Contributes to scoping of work in tank maintenance/project planning. Play the lead executing role or Q-captain role for all works.
• Raises, reviews and coordinates execution of CRER, PCR and maintenance capital replacement projects and shutdown for tank related works.
• Closely participates in cost control to keep routine maintenance, projects, special maintenance and shutdown spending within budget and phasing.
• Closely follow up the progress and ensure they are meeting the plan and monitor & up-date the progress

You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have relevant Diploma / Degree or equivalent
• Have 5–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream industry maintenance field
• Are skilled in executing Maintenance/TA/Construction
• Have experience working with and managing the contractors on site
• Are skilled on the Job Hazard Analysis, Confine Space Entry, Permit to Work system and Clearance application requirement
• Are knowledgeable on GAME ME process, SAP and minor project planning
• Have skill in managing people and interfacing with others
• Have knowledge in trouble shooting equipment failures and repair schemes
