Firmware Test Engineer (1 Year Contract, Renewable) - Part-Time

We are seeking a Firmware Test Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Firmware Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the firmware products through meticulous testing and analysis. You will collaborate closely with the firmware development team to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that the products meet the highest standards of performance and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for firmware products based on requirements and specifications.
• Execute test cases and perform thorough functional, regression, performance and automation testing.
• Develop and implement test automation scripts using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript.
• Identify, isolate, and document issues with firmware functionality, performance, and compatibility.
• Work closely with firmware developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives and priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Prior experience in firmware testing, preferably in embedded systems or IoT devices is advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java for test automation.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
