Network Engineer - Part-Time

As a Network Engineer, your role is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities related to designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization’s networks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Task with implementing network infrastructure based on the specific requirements of the organization. This involves creating a robust network architecture that aligns with business needs.
• Installing and configuring network hardware is a crucial part of your role. This includes working with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Responsible for maintaining network software, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient data transfer.
• Continuously monitor the network’s performance, availability, and reliability. They keep an eye on data flow, latency, and potential bottlenecks to maintain optimal functioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly when problem arise. This includes diagnosing hardware and software problems, identifying network glitches, and minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement robust network security protocol ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and protection against cyber threats is a critical aspect of their role.
• Conducting routine network maintenance is critical, this involves tasks such as updating software and hardware components to keep the network running smoothly to ensure stability and security
• Documenting network configurations, processes, and procedures ensures clarity and consistency. Having well-documented guidelines helps maintain network performance across all client sites.
• As a network engineer, provide support and training to other team members. Sharing your expertise ensures a cohesive and knowledgeable network team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
• Familiarity with network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience working with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, network topology and experience with Cisco and Aruba solutions implemented
• Experience in optimizing networks to ensure high availability, performance, and security in accordance with business requirements.
• Certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Aruba Certified Solutions Professional) and familiarity with ITIL processes related to network management.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with clients to understand their networking needs and translate these into effective solutions.
