Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for acting as guardian of the assigned unit's Operation & Maintenance routine, by liaising with other
departments to follow-up and ensure the proper planning and execution of operation's demands, on time and with required quality, delegating and charging responsibilities, acting as first focal point for Offshore teams on
operation's routine matters, supporting the Operations Manager in the interface with the client and authorities, in order to implement the strategy set by the Operations Manager, thus contributing to the safe operation and the production and revenue target achievement, contributing to the business continuity and its growth.
Core Responsibilities
Contribute to the unit's operational performance, acting as facilitator for the vessel routine, by liaising with
Offshore and Onshore departments in order to ensure timely and accurate resolution of operation's matters, such as HSSEQ, operational performance, material loading and backloading, personnel logistics, etc, delegating,
charging and following up activities in accordance with MODEC's Roles and Responsibilities matrix, aiming to
implement the strategy set by the Ops Manager.
Actively engage in the Operations Cell routine, including Morning Calls, Integrated Planning, routine follow-up
meetings, ensuring the proper assistance to other Ops Cell members in their attributions whenever required and
possible, promoting a culture of mutual support, growth, avoiding any poor workload balance.
Act as onshore support for the assigned unit's offshore team in the resolution of operation's routine demands,
assisting them in the interface with other departments, as well as guiding them to the proper systems, processes
and means, thus promoting a culture adherent to the company's procedures and systems.
Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating of the corporate
planning, providing information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with Offshore and Onshore departments.
Support the Operations Manager in the interface with the client for matters related to this position's scope, by
actively participating in meetings with the client's representatives, monitoring their follow up system, answering
RDO items, supporting in the elaboration of letters and formal responses, and assisting in negotiation for contract's demands, when required, as directed by the Operations Manager.
Contribute to continuous improvement of IMS by following up and filling in projects status, and updating and
monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents for the assigned unit's related to this position's scope, as set by the Operations Manager.
Support the Operations Manager in promoting a safety-oriented culture in the unit, acting as sponsor for the
implementation of HSSEQ initiatives, as proposed by HSSE department, client, authority, engaging offshore
leaderships and participating in trainings, presentations, workshops, etc.
Support the execution of planned shutdowns, by following up planning and status of planning, resources, materials and services, in a joint effort with other Ops Cell members, as well as Technical Support departments.
HSSE Requirements and Code of Conduct
HSSE: Act in compliance with the corporate HSSEQ Management System Policy, the MODEC Life Saving Rules, and
the policies, guides, process standards and work instructions available in the Integrated Management System
(IMS).
Act to promote the preservation of the environment, the health and occupational safety (personnel and their team),the safety of processes, and the preservation of assets in their scale of responsibility.

Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor degree in Engineering is required
Postgraduation in areas related to the discipline of expertise is a competitive edge.
MBA or equivalent is a competitive edge.
Certifications:
CREA is required.
Relevant Experience:
Engineer I/II/III: Minimum 2/4/7 years' overall experience is expected;
Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is required.
