Job Summary

The Basketball Table Official supports basketball match operations by managing scorekeeping, timing, fouls, substitutions, possession arrow, and match records according to competition rules from 2027 to 2029.

Responsibilities

• Manage scorekeeping accurately during basketball matches to ensure correct game results
• Operate timing equipment to track game periods and stoppages according to official rules
• Record fouls, substitutions, and possession arrow changes promptly to maintain match integrity
• Maintain and verify match documentation and table records for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate clearly and professionally with referees, coaches, players, and organisers to support smooth match flow
• Follow NSG, FIBA, and competition-specific procedures precisely during all match duties
• Report punctually to assigned venues before match start times to prepare for duties
• Wear proper attire and uphold professional conduct throughout assigned duties
• Attend briefing sessions before deployment to understand match requirements and updates
• Escalate any match-day issues or irregularities immediately to appropriate authorities

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess Basketball Association of Singapore certification or equivalent technical officiating certification
• Must not have conflicts of interest with participating schools or teams
• Must not have disciplinary records or ongoing investigations with relevant authorities or associations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience as a basketball table official
• Experience in NSG, school competitions, NBL, regional, or equivalent basketball competitions
• Familiarity with basketball match procedures, table operations, and current rules
• Ability to work accurately under time pressure
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to follow instructions closely
• Able to commit to assigned competition dates and venues

Other Information

Location Islandwide, Singapore at sports halls, schools, universities, tertiary institutions, or other assigned competition venues

Salary / Rate To be confirmed based on assignment, deployment volume, and project requirements.

Working Hours Based on assigned match schedules. Competition periods may vary by division and year.
