Our space will be small but cosy, enabling warm conversations inside.

At About Coffee Co., we also believe in the exploration of brewing methods, and everyday is a new day to learn something. We will calibrate new products together and think about recipe adjustments together, making us better Baristas as we grow together.

Here are some details about the role:

• Location: Katong Shopping Centre
• 44 hours a week
• Work with fellow teammates to enable smooth operations of specialty coffee spot
• Daily calibration and consistently produce high-quality coffee
• Display capability and knowledge in brewing espresso, milk-frothing and filter pourover coffee; deeper knowledge of bean origin and processing methods are an added advantage
• Grinding of coffee beans, brewing coffee and preparing beverages on menu and serving orders to customers
• Cashiering and simple food-heating duties applies
• Educate and highlight differences to customers, between menu items and various product types
• Taking inventory and replenishing items
• Receiving and arrangement of stock supplies
• Adhere to food safety regulations and quality controls
• Adhere to hygiene requirements, keeping work station and premises clean
• Participate in content creation for social media marketing
• Able to work on weekends and Public Holiday, with even workload distribution amongst all team members
• For Full-Time - Remuneration package with benefits applies
• For Part-Time - Hourly rates negotiable

Requirements

• SOA in Food Safety Level 1 obtained
• At least 1 year relevant barista experience / working experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Polite, friendly and approachable
• Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply too
