L'éclair Pâtisserie is looking for a passionate and versatile Commis Chef (Pastry & Kitchen) to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both pastry and light savoury cooking. You will support the daily preparation of our pastries, desserts, and café menu, while maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that L'éclair is known for.

Assist with daily mise en place and food preparation.
Prepare and assemble pastries, desserts, and light savoury dishes such as pasta, sandwiches, quiches, and other café menu items.
Follow recipes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and receiving deliveries.
Support the team during busy service periods.
Assist with serving food and beverages when required.
Pack takeaway and delivery orders accurately.
Handle simple POS transactions when needed.
Support café opening, closing, and general housekeeping duties.
Previous experience in a café, bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred.
Experience in both pastry and light savoury cooking is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and work across different kitchen stations.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude with a strong sense of teamwork and responsibility.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certification is preferred.
