Part-Time Baker

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, independent Part-Time Baker to join our kitchen team. At Jimmy Monkey, we focus on serving high-quality independent coffee alongside a solid, casual food menu.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking our daily selection of pastries, muffins, scones and cakes, ensuring everything is ready and well-presented before the cafe opens.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a consistent daily selection of cakes, tarts, and baked goods.

• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality.

• Manage inventory for baking ingredients and place restocking orders when necessary.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation in compliance with food safety standards.

• Coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to manage daily stock levels.

• Previous experience in a commercial baking or pastry environment is preferred.

• Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

• A steady, practical approach to food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
