Aquarium Maintenance Assistant / Trainee - Part-Time

We are looking for someone to join our aquarium maintenance team, working under our senior staff.

This role is for people who genuinely enjoy fishkeeping and planted tanks, and are comfortable doing hands-on work. The job involves aquarium maintenance, cleaning, water changes, plant trimming, livestock observation, and helping to keep our clients' tanks healthy and presentable.

Experience keeping fish is a must. You do not need a diploma, ITE certificate, or degree for this role, but you should be able to show that you understand how to keep fish and aquatic plants alive and healthy over the long term. During the interview, we will ask questions to check your fishkeeping knowledge.

We are looking for someone who is patient, skill-focused, and willing to learn. Speed and quality both matter in this job, especially when doing maintenance work at client sites.

Requirements
- Must have real experience keeping fish
- Experience with aquatic plants is preferred
- Able to explain basic fishkeeping and maintenance knowledge during interview
- Able to work at a steady and efficient pace
- English speaking is required
- Chinese speaking is preferred, but not required
- No diploma, ITE, or degree required
- Responsible, patient, and willing to improve

Working Hours
Minimum 20 hours per week. Work days are generally Wednesday to Sunday, with some Tuesdays when needed. Applicants must be able to fit at least 20 working hours within those days.

Pay
$10 to $17 per hour, depending on speed, experience, and ability. There is also the possibility to move into a full-time role in the future.
