Job Summary

A dental nurse supports the dental team by assisting dentists during patient visits, preparing materials, managing instruments, recording patient information, processing radiographs, controlling stock, and handling reception duties including appointment scheduling and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during patient visits by preparing materials and ensuring instruments and equipment are ready and available
• Clean and sterilise dental instruments to maintain hygiene and safety standards
• Record accurate patient oral health information to support dental care decisions
• Process radiographs efficiently to aid diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage stock control to ensure availability of dental supplies and materials
• Handle reception duties including making patient appointments and performing administrative tasks to support smooth practice operations
