Locum Staff Nurse (Senior Care Centre) - Part-Time

This position is based in Bukit Batok Care Home.
Contract: 6 months

Providing Quality Care

• Work with the Centre Manager to analyse and evaluate nursing care plan provided for the clients
• Co-ordinate with Nursing Aides / Assistants and Healthcare Assistants to implement care plan such as medication, hygiene care, social and physical activities for the clients
• Identify symptoms of the clients that are related to illnesses and / or decline in functional and cognitive abilities and advocate early medical attention

Training & Development

• Mentor and guide the Nursing Aides / Assistants and Healthcare Assistants in performing their functional duties
• Participate in relevant quality improvement and assessment activities

Administration and Management

• Educate family members of clients on the clients’ health conditions and help them gain understanding on the holistic care provided
• Ensure all documentation of the clients’ case is maintained appropriately
• Deputise the Centre Manager in his / her absence
• Any other duties as assigned by the Centre Manager

Educational Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution as approved by Singapore Nursing Board

Years of Experience

• At least 3.5 years of experience, preferably from the public healthcare or nursing home sector
• InterRAI Checkup training completed
