Occupational Therapist (3-Month Locum) – Central [GC] - Part-Time

• Locum position for 3 months.

• Opportunity for conversion to a permanent full-time position

Job Description:

• Provide occupational therapy services to individuals with hand and upper limb conditions to support their rehabilitation and recovery goals.
• Assess patients’ functional abilities and identify their rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at improving, restoring, maintaining, or maximizing patients’ independence in daily living activities.
• Provide education, guidance, and training to family members and caregivers, where appropriate, to support patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor patients’ progress, conduct regular reviews, and adjust intervention plans as required.
• Recommend, evaluate, and facilitate the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support patients’ functional needs.
• Provide guidance and support to occupational therapy assistants and contribute to their professional development when required.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation and patient records.
• Support departmental administrative functions, including documentation, billing processes, data collection, and reporting activities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, clinical initiatives, and service development activities.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned, in line with organizational needs and operational requirements.
