Job Description 1 – Physiotherapist (SportsPhysiotherapy)

Position: Physiotherapist (Sports Physiotherapy)

Location: Tampines Avenue

Contract Period: Academic Year 2026/2027 (Option to Extend)

Working Schedule

• Up to 3 sessions per week
• Predominantly Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
• 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Schedule may vary according to competition calendars and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for student athletes.
• Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
• Provide manual therapy, sports massage and injury management.
• Perform sports taping and strapping before training and competitions.
• Assess athletes' readiness for return-to-play and competition participation.
• Monitor rehabilitation progress and modify treatment plans where appropriate.
• Refer athletes for specialist medical care when required.
• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Assistant Physiotherapists.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and confidential documentation.
• Ensure compliance with professional, institutional and workplace safety standards.
• Provide necessary physiotherapy equipment and treatment devices, excluding rigid tapes supplied by the institution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
• Valid Standard First Aid (SFA) and AED Certification throughout the contract period.
• Minimum 2 years of post-registration physiotherapy experience.
• Experience in sports physiotherapy, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and athletic injury management is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, sports taping, rehabilitation planning and injury prevention.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with coaches and sports personnel.
