Role Overview
As a Stretch Therapist at Heartland Rehab, you will deliver professional assisted stretching sessions to a diverse range of clients — from working adults managing postural tension and stress to athletes looking to improve flexibility, recovery, and performance. You will work closely with our physiotherapy team to ensure client programmes are safe, progressive, and aligned with their goals.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines anatomical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for helping people move and feel better.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct one-on-one assisted stretching sessions
Perform client intake assessments to understand their goals, health history, movement limitations, and contraindications.
Design and progress individualised stretch programmes based on each client's needs and response to treatment.
Educate clients on the benefits of regular stretching, posture awareness, and self-care between sessions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date session notes and client records in accordance with clinic protocols.
Collaborate with physiotherapists and other clinical staff to coordinate care for clients with specific conditions or post-rehabilitation needs.
Meet session targets and contribute to clinic revenue goals while maintaining quality of care.
Uphold a professional, welcoming clinic environment and deliver an excellent client experience at every touchpoint.
Participate in team meetings, assist with administrative duties, and any internal training programmes.
Requirements:
Certification in stretch therapy, sports massage, or a related allied health discipline (e.g. Certificate in Assisted Stretching, NASM, ACE, or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in stretch therapy, personal training, or a bodywork modality preferred; fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome to apply.
Sound knowledge of human anatomy, musculoskeletal function, and common movement restrictions.
Understanding of contraindications and safe practice principles.
Excellent communication and active listening skills — able to explain techniques and recommendations clearly to clients of all backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, client-centred approach.
Detail-oriented with good documentation habits.
Comfortable working in a target-driven environment while keeping client outcomes at the centre.
Able to work on weekends and/or shift hours as required by the clinic schedule.
