Guest Services Trainee - Part-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Guest Service Trainee to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in reception duties, concierge responsibilities and housekeeping tasks to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This multifaced role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Able to commit at least 6 months.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Reception duties:

• Ensure seamless transition between shifts by completing all opening and closing tasks during the start/end of the shift.
• Prepare pre-arrival activities for guest arrivals by coordinating with other departments and ensuring all guest preferences and requests are noted.
• Managing check-ins and outs efficiently ensuring all procedures are followed and guests' accounts are accurate.
• Perform night audit procedures, generate reports and ensure security of the premises during overnight hours.
• Handle all incoming and outgoing courier services, ensuring timely delivery and receipt.
• Assign rooms and prepare keys for arriving guests ensuring all special requests are accommodated.
• Undertake any additional task or training as assigned to support the team and enhance service delivery.

Concierge duties:

• Assist with the day-to-day operations to ensure efficient concierge services.
• Help guests with booking attraction tickets, planning itineraries and arranging transportation.
• Providing guests with city recommendations, local dining and entertainment.
• Booking dining reservations for guests and accommodating special requests or dietary needs.

Housekeeping duties:

• Assign daily task assignments for team members.
• Understanding operation needs based onoccupancy, arrivals, and departures to ensure that sufficient manpower isrostered for shifts.
• Checking and maintaining housekeeping equipment and tools, ensuring they are all in good working condition.
• Handling of guest complaints relating to housekeeping
• Ensure that periodic cleanings are done in a timely manner.
• Liaising with pest controls for any ad hoc issues and monthly maintenance.
• Room inspection to ensure that it is up to set standards.
• Management of linen inventory for daily use
