Linen & Laundry Attendant (Permanent Part-time)

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Plan and manage the workstation of laundry/linen & uniform room in a systematic manner.  

• Keep records of in/out of linens & uniforms daily. 

• Liaise and follow-up closely with laundry provider for any discrepancy in daily in/out quantity. 

• Ensure the linens returned from vendor is equally distributed to the floor pantries. 

• Segregate and sort out linens that are soiled and damaged and record for inventory purpose. 

• Transfer soiled linens from the linen chute bay to the laundry cart and loading bay for collection. 

• Ensure all uniforms are correctly paired and distributed to uniformed colleagues. 

• Maintain an accurate record for uniforms issuance to the colleagues. 

• Manage the uniforms based on different requirements. 

• Check for damage or torn uniforms and arrange for repair if required.  

• Check daily for any guest laundry every morning by checking every guestroom floors.  

• Ensure all guest laundry will be picked up and proper recording are maintained. 

• All pieces of guest garments need to be inspected to ensure it is clean and not damaged when returning to guest.  

• Ensure all guest laundry will be returned to guest within the stipulated time.  

• Conduct periodic quality checks for linens & uniforms. 

• Assist housekeeping team before/during the linen inventory count day. 

• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time based on operational needs. 

Requirements:

• Able to commit to working hours of Thursday to Monday, 8:30AM to 2PM 

  Good attention to details and organizing skills  

• Flexibility and adaptable to changes  

• Some computer skills are preferred 

• Preferably able to do simple sewing and mending/alteration 

• A good team player
