Job Description - HR Generalist - Part-Time

Aramco Asia is a group of Asian wholly owned subsidiaries of Saudi Aramco Asia Company, and they share a key mission in serving Saudi Aramco’s corporate strategic initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. We are in the search for a HR Generalist to join the team.

Principal Duties:

  • Advise ARAMCO ASIA/Saudi Aramco employees on functions of assigned HR are, ensuring that employees receive equitable treatment and receive HR services as authorized
  • Perform special projects, long-range studies, policy reviews and related activities, which are highly professional in nature and may involve several different HR functions
  • Collect and analyze information relevant to assigned HR functions. Research the design, impact, and implementation required for changes or additions to HR activities. Develop sound professional recommendations based on findings
  • Resolve problems related to HR function
  • Coordinate or perform line activities within assigned HR functional area
  • Provide work direction to lower level professional and clerical staff in functional area
  • Act as team leader or represent HR Manager, Staffing Manager, or Training & Development Manager as required

In addition to above duties the following duties are specific to assigned area:

Responsibilities:

Domestic HR

  • Design the set of different compensation and benefit policies under supervision or as a team.
  • Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other companies by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Analyze the results of surveys and develop specific recommendation for review
  • Lead and coordinate PMP process and consolidate the result. Analyze the results for preparing annual salary review and bonus.
  • Prepare salary plan and company collective bargaining agreement by analyzing and surveying for C&B of employees and union demands with the direction of HR manager.
  • Initiate and implement other Compensation and Benefit programs
  • Maintain and update regional Job Description
  • Help line managers in the compensation area (pay-mix training, etc.)
  • Prepare budgets for HR operation, develop and optimize cost control and budgeting procedures

Staffing Services

  • Establish recruitment strategies for assigned area of responsibility
  • Develop new recruiting channel, manage talent pool
  • Train hiring manager and HR Analyst interview skills
  • Compute and analyze company turnover rate, enhance Company's employer brand

International HR

  • Interpret and guide Saudi Aramco 'Chapter 8' about policies and procedures
  • Act as international assignment expert, advise ARAMCO ASIA and project management teams on issues relating to OOK assignments, conduct presentations and/or training material to assignees
  • Lead to review services relating to Chapter 8 policies including but not limited to: activation of allowances, relocation assistance, expense repots, cash advances, and educational assistance payments under supervision
  • Represent the Company in dealing with relative agencies
  • Manage agency performance, ensure smooth assignee reimbursement

Training & Development

Training

  • Prepare and distribute pre-budget and accountability information pertaining to Training programs, liaise with Line Organization in preparation of Training Plans under the governance of the annual budget & Training OP manual.
  • Administer formal and on-the-jo training programs for Aramco employees. Provide career development advice and course eligibility to Aramco employees
  • Identify suitable Training Providers based on Line Organization submitted Training plan; facilitate the Procurement of Training Contracts with Contracting Department
  • Develop and maintain company succession plans
  • Conduct Training reports and other data analyses for In Company/OOC training for HR and line organizations
  • Monitor the performance of assigned training program participants and counsels, HR system efficiency for Training & Development related issue, and potential internship assignment opportunities
  • Manage the Training & Development Plans presentation, review & approval process

Academic/Internship

  • Monitor performance of assigned academic/internship program participants and counsels as necessary, communicate on a regular basis with universities/sponsors regarding candidates' program progress and special concerns, conduct campus visits and prepare visit report when needed
  • Facilitate the training program termination process when the assignee failed to perform
  • Lead to research participants/programs and prepares all related reports as needed, keep current with worldwide academic and professional state-of-the-art training resources
  • Coordinate with regional Company Affairs on possible allocation and placement of candidates for internship assignments

Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Personnel Administration or related field. HR relative international certificate and Master degree is preferred
  • 13 years diversified experience in HR Field, with 3 years supervisory experience
  • Must have experience of HR project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, to produce clear, logical and comprehensive reports and correspondence. Fluent spoken and written native language
  • Customer focused, with strong human relations skills and the ability understanding of Saudi Arab culture
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and tactfully handle sensitive issues
  • Ability to perform statistical and problem analyses while working under time constraints
  • Good motivational and team building skills

This is a 1-year contract role with subject to extension depending on business needs.
