Charterer (Crude) - Part-Time

Our client, a leading Asia-based energy and commodities group with integrated refining, trading and logistics are currently seeking for Charterer to join their growing commercial and shipping team.

Reporting to the Logistics Director, the incumbent will manage crude oil tanker chartering requirements, source suitable vessels and negotiate on freight rates, laycan, demurrage, loading discharging ports and other commercial terms. In addition, the Charterer will draw & review charter parties, prepare voyage estimates and support voyage execution activities.

REQUIREMENT

• Degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, Logistics, International Trade or equivalent from a Reputable University
• At least 12 years of tanker chartering experience with direct exposure to crude oil tanker chartering within shipbrokers, oil trading house, or energy/logistics companies
• Strong understanding of freight calculation, laytime, demurrage and voyage estimation
• Fluent Mandarin is required to communicate to Chinese counterparts.
