Freight Operations Executive (1 Year Contract Renewable) - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Monitor freight market trends, carrier rates, and service developments to support competitive sourcing strategies
• Develop and manage relationships with carriers and logistics partners to secure favourable commercial terms
• Support annual freight tenders, including bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract implementation
• Drive logistics cost optimisation while ensuring stable production and shipment planning
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and international affiliates to align operational requirements
• Resolve operational issues and contribute to continuous process improvements
• Collect, validate, and consolidate logistics data for reporting and forecasting
• Prepare shipment reports, volume forecasts, and maintain freight rate databases
• Generate reports, presentations, and market intelligence updates for stakeholders
• Execute weekly payment processes and support monthly financial closing activities
• Verify billing accuracy, freight charges, and supporting documentation
• Liaise with IT teams on system enhancements, troubleshooting, and bidding platform maintenance
• Support system and process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy
• Assist with departmental initiatives and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in logistics, preferably within shipping lines or NVOCC environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in freight rate analysis, reporting, and data management
• Familiarity with Incoterms is an added advantage
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is an added advantage
