Senior / Procurement Executive (Equipment Buyer) - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Supports material requirements of the Production Centres by soliciting best bids in accordance with the company’s standard procurement policies and procedures.
• Conduct bids evaluation and organize technical and commercial clarification meetings with vendor if necessary.
• Prepare Commercial Bid Evaluation reports for vendor short listing and selection.
• Reviews requisitions and clarifies with the user departments on any discrepancy or incomplete information with regards to specification, quality, quantity and delivery requirements.
• Recommends substitution where a saving in cost or improved delivery will result.
• Prepare purchase contracts, to clearly address the agreed specification requirements, terms and conditions.
• Manage Purchase Contracts to ensure vendor fulfilling the entire contract obligation.
• Monitor post purchase order activities such as vendor’s design and engineering progress, manufacturing progress, delivery status and etc.
• Expedite for vendor data and drawing submission.
• Compiles and maintain a library of catalogues, price lists, etc. to be used for reference.
• Visits vendor plants to familiarise with the key personnel analyse facilities and capabilities, as well as perform audit and vendor performance appraisal
• Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
• Any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in any Engineering field
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
• Resourceful with high level of honesty and integrity. Must be neat in appearance, tactful, co-operative, pleasant and dependable.
• Has initiative and hold information in the strictest confidence.
• High degree of alertness with a strong ability to work under pressure.
