Job Description - Marketing Director - Part-Time

We're looking for a Marketing Director, Money2020 Asia (8 Month FTC) to join our team in Singapore as part of our

Marketing function.

Our brilliant Marketing Director is heading out on parental leave and we’re looking for an outstanding interim leader to

drive us forward during a crucial 6-8 month growth period for the business in Asia.

Your Team: The role will work in close partnership with the SVP of Asia and the Global VP Marketing, Money20/20 to

ensure plans form an integrated part of an improved customer experience across all touchpoints, with the ultimate

goal of driving longer-term engagement and positioning the Money20/20 brand as a thought leader in fintech.

Your Role: This is a critical role at Money20/20 with responsibility for the success of marketing campaigns that drive

impact, excitement and revenue. We need someone who delivers what they say they will, when they say they will -

The core focus for this role is to lead the creation and actively manage the delivery of marketing strategies across

Money20/20’s Asia show to deliver delegate acquisition/retention and sponsorship targets in its critical second year.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

● Undertakes customer research initiatives to inform marketing strategies and ensures insights are embedded

throughout all executions.

● In collaboration with the SVP Asia, oversees the development and delivery of a robust launch plan covering

delegate acquisition / retention marketing strategies, roadmaps & budgets for the show and related products

in the region.

● Together with Head of Sponsorship Marketing, provides strategies for the sales teams to communicate the

Money20/20 value proposition, support the selling process and drive leads.

● In collaboration with the SVP Asia, Sales Leader and digital product leads, set channel strategy for customer

acquisition and agree core KPIs.

Delegate & Sponsor Acquisition / Retention Plans (Asia Show & associated products)

● Delivers a world class launch programme that ignites our relationship with brands and delegates from across

Asia

● Oversees and is accountable for the delivery and performance of show marketing plans.

● Embeds a lifecycle - 'always-on' - approach, looking at customers’ entire journeys across all channels,

optimising messaging to align with the various touch points along the journey.

● Ensures all communications are appropriately targeted and messaged for optimum results. (Look, feel and

voice with consistency, and across all channels).

● Works with the sales teams to ensure that customers are engaged and aware of the Money20/20 value

proposition, build brand awareness and drive new business opportunities.

● Integrates effectively with global Money20/20 marketing peers and colleagues and works closely with central

Ascential teams (Digital Marketing, Video, Research etc.) to deliver impact.

Data

● Helps to define and deliver Money20/20’s acquisition & retention data strategy, partnering with growing

Money20/20 data function on all data planning, database development and data capture-related activities.

Brand & Content (‘Always-On’) Marketing

● Collaborates with the Global VP Marketing, Money20/20 to ensure all global messaging & content is

integrated and optimised:

● Brand messaging frameworks are embedded into show plans to build engagement, increase retention &

loyalty.

● Global content marketing initiatives are directly linked to show & product funnel activities to build awareness,

traffic, engagement, demand and conversion.

● Operating within the global PR framework, oversees show PR strategies to drive credibility, works closely with

head of PR and local PR partners to drive trust and engagement across all audiences.

Marketing Performance Analysis & Measurement

● With the Marketing Performance & Automation team, monitors and evaluates the impact of plans and makes

recommendations for continuous optimisation.

Leadership

● Leads the Money20/20 Asia show, digital product and sponsorship marketing team. Ensure a positive,

innovative, curious and committed team environment.

● Motivates and energises others through positive reinforcement and by acting as an inspirational role model.

Your Experience

● Significant experience of global events marketing and proven ability that this has led to delivery of results and

high growth.

● Strong background in performance marketing, matched ideally with experience in PR, Brand Marketing and

Content Marketing.

● Proven team leadership and growth experience - and comfort working with autonomy in fast-moving high

growth businesses.

● Experience of working in global matrix organisations, ideally within an events, financial services and / or

fintech business
