We are looking for an experienced Corporate Communications professional to lead strategic communications, public relations and media engagement for a large-scale organisation. This role is responsible for developing corporate messaging, strengthening brand reputation, managing stakeholder communications and leading crisis communications across various business initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing communication frameworks, enhancing brand visibility and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications & Brand Strategy
Develop and implement the overall corporate communications and public relations strategy.
Build and strengthen the organisation's corporate brand and reputation.
Develop consistent messaging across all communication channels.
Lead communication initiatives supporting business growth and organisational objectives.
Establish communication processes, governance and best practices.
Media Relations & Public Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists and industry partners.
Develop and execute media engagement strategies.
Prepare press releases, media statements, speeches and corporate announcements.
Coordinate media interviews, press events and publicity opportunities.
Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
Crisis Communications & Reputation Management
Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and response protocols.
Monitor traditional and digital media to identify emerging issues and reputational risks.
Provide timely communication support during sensitive situations.
Advise senior management on communication strategies during crises.
Protect and strengthen the organisation's corporate reputation.
Stakeholder Communications
Partner closely with internal business units to support communication needs.
Develop communication plans for key business initiatives and projects.
Manage communications with external stakeholders and business partners.
Ensure alignment of messaging across departments.
Support executive communications when required.
Digital Communications & Content Strategy
Lead content planning across digital and offline platforms.
Develop engaging corporate content including articles, newsletters, social media content and website copy.
Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials.
Work closely with marketing and creative teams on integrated campaigns.
Measure communication effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations or Journalism.
At least 5 years of leadership or people management experience.
Proven experience handling crisis communications and reputation management.
Experience developing corporate communication strategies and brand positioning.
Excellent writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Strong media network and experience working with external media partners will be an advantage.
Experience setting up communication frameworks, processes or supporting new business initiatives is preferred.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
