Job Description - Social Media Manager (Bank) - Part-Time
Partnering with a leading bank to look for a Creative Content (Video, Design & Social) Specialist on 12months contract
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly creative, digitally savvy content specialist who can bring corporate banking stories to life through compelling design, engaging social content, and impactful video production.
This role will be responsible for creating and amplifying content across internal and external channels, with a strong emphasis on social-first storytelling, short-form video, motion graphics, and visual design. The successful candidate will transform complex business topics into clear, engaging and insightful content that strengthens corporate brand, showcases client success stories, and drives audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production, Storytelling & Content Development
Develop compelling content for social media, campaigns, thought leadership, employee engagement, internal communications and client storytelling.
Translate complex banking, business and economic topics into visually engaging and easily digestible content that is social-first.
Develop storyboards, scripts, content concepts and editorial narratives across multiple formats, including infographics, social media posts, campaign visuals, event marketing assets and animations.
Produce content that aligns with brand standards, tone of voice and business priorities.
Lead end-to-end video production, from ideation and scripting through filming, editing and post-production.
Create compelling content across diverse formats (video, social, campaign, senior executive, internal communications), maintaining high narrative quality and storytelling standards.
Create motion graphics, animated explainers and visual enhancements to elevate storytelling.
Optimise video content for each platform’s best practices and audience behaviour.
Ensure all creative outputs are brand-consistent and visually compelling.
Content & Media Management
Support management of social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook
Manage the social media content calendar (organic and paid) and oversee content distribution for maximum internal and external engagement.
Ensure timely planning and delivery of content, aligning with campaign objectives and digital content cycles.
Optimise video content for various platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Spotify) to maximise discoverability, shareability and engagement.
Collaborate with media agencies for content amplification and paid campaigns, ensuring ethical practices and brand guideline adherence.
Monitor emerging social media trends, creator formats and best practices.
Identify opportunities to expand reach, engagement and community interaction.
Collaboration & Optimisation
Collaborate with marketing teams and stakeholders, serving as a content expert to transform complex information into engaging video and/or social narratives.
Collaborate with external agencies, photographers, videographers and content creators where required.
Monitor content performance using analytics to continuously refine formats, styles and overall content strategy for improved engagement.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
Qualifications
5–7 years of proven design and content production experience, with a portfolio showcasing informative or explanatory content.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across video, social and visual content.
Experience creating content for corporate, B2B or financial services is preferred.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, Canva or Final Cut Pro for high-quality digital video production.
Proficiency in motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects would be an added advantage.
Exceptional storytelling, editorial and visual editing skills, with a keen eye for structure, accuracy and audience relevance.
Experience in social media content calendar management and platform-specific content optimisation.
Proficiency in English and Chinese, as the role involves reviewing and creating Chinese-language content, collaborating with regional stakeholders, and supporting communications across Chinese-speaking markets including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Preferred
Basic filming (camera, lighting, audio) and animation skills.
Familiarity with LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Spotify content optimisation.
Experience creating content for senior executives and thought leadership programmes.
Familiarity with the use of AI tools for research, ideation, transcription and content production.
Experience with researching and verifying content information.
Understanding of media agency collaboration and paid social campaigns, including responsible digital advertising practices.
Demonstrated understanding of audience analytics and digital consumption trends.
Required
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in creating digital graphics, illustrations, and marketing collateral.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop with 2–4 years of experience in image editing, retouching, and visual content creation.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with 4–6 years of experience in video editing, production, and post-production workflows.
Preferred
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects with 2–4 years of experience in motion graphics, animation, and visual effects is an advantage.
