Business Analyst (Compliance/Data) - Part-Time

As a Business Analyst at Synpulse, you will support leading banks and financial institutions in delivering compliance and data transformation initiatives. Acting as the bridge between business and technology, you will work closely with compliance, operations, data, and technology teams to deliver solutions across AML, KYC, Financial Crime, Regulatory Reporting, and Data Governance program

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with business, compliance, and technology stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data quality assessments.
• Support compliance transformation initiatives, including AML, KYC, Financial Crime, and Regulatory Reporting.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Support UAT, stakeholder management, and project governance activities

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking, financial services, or consulting environments.
• Strong experience in Regulatory Compliance, AML, KYC, Financial Crime, Transaction Monitoring, or Regulatory Reporting initiatives.
• Experience working on data-related projects, including data analysis, data mapping, data governance, data quality, or regulatory data transformation.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Experience preparing business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories
• Embraces emerging technologies, demonstrates an AI-first mindset, and proactively identifies opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve ways of working, accelerate innovation, and create measurable business impact for clients and the firm.
