Community Engagement Intern - Part-Time

Purpose of Job

The Community Engagement Intern will support Filos in amplifying impact in the community through outreach and marketing communication efforts as well as executing strategies for volunteer management, stakeholder engagement and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Corporate Communications

1. Plan, coordinate and execute marketing and communication plans, as well as outreach events and initiatives to promote volunteerism and Filos.
2. Coordinate and create newsletters, corporate collaterals and social media content (including videos) to support Filos’ efforts in building brand awareness and engagement to achieve organisational goals.

Volunteer and Stakeholder Management

1. Coordinate volunteer programmes for the organisation and at town level.
2. Support training sessions provided for volunteers as well as volunteer appreciation and recognition events (where internship duration aligns).
3. Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, which may include individual volunteers, schools, corporates, grassroots and public organisations, for outreach and volunteering opportunities.
4. Work with the Filos team and volunteers to drive recruitment and retention efforts, and to facilitate and/or organise outreach and networking events and initiatives to promote volunteerism and community partnerships.

Other Duties

1. Provide administration and logistical support.

Competencies and Qualifications

1. Current students or graduates of Polytechnics, Junior Colleges and Universities are welcome to apply
2. Passionate about volunteerism and serving the community.
3. A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes and Canva.
5. Familiar with simple end-to-end video production using video editing tools like CapCut and Inshot. Additional proficiency in video production is an advantage.
6. Possess good writing skills.
7. Self-motivated, pleasant and resourceful.
8. Good administrative and organisational skills.
