Design Consultant Intern - Part-Time

Job Summary

Support the design team by producing detailed drawings, preparing presentations, sourcing materials, and assisting project management to deliver high-quality interior design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in detailed design drawings using AutoCAD to support project requirements
• Assist in design presentations incorporating visual aids such as color schemes and material boards
• Assist in sourcing competitive quotes, materials, and samples to meet project specifications and budget
• Assist in developing and updating construction specifications and design documentation for project execution
• Assist Project Manager in processing variation orders and closing project accounts
• Present design concepts clearly and effectively to clients to facilitate decision-making

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Currently Pursuing Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or other relevant fields
• Creative conceptual design skills to develop innovative interior solutions
• Proficient in technical and detailed coordination of drawings for accurate project delivery
• Competent in AutoCAD, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, and other design software to enhance presentations and documentation
• Skilled in space planning, conceptual design, and interior detailing to optimize functional layouts
• Strong teamwork and proactive communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Client management skills to maintain positive relationships and understand client needs
