Dr Ji Liang Hui Group: Laboratory Technologist - Part-Time

We are looking for a Laboratory Technologist to join the team to work on the enzyme engineering and synthetic biology research mainly focusing on red yeast (Rhodotorula toruloides) and Pichia pastoris.

Responsibilities:   

• Perform recombinant DNA workflows in E. coli and yeasts
• Genetic transformation and functional validation of yeast strains, particularly Pichiapastoris and Rhodotorula toruloides.
• Assist in general lab maintenance duties

Requirements:

• A diploma or B.Sc. in biotechnology or microbiology
• A fast learner with keen interest to develop a career path in biotechnology or food technology
