Electrical Inspector - Part-Time

For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Inspector (CompEX / ATEX) to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — Electrical Inspector Inspection

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior/Lead Electrical Inspector. Your mission is to provide specialist verification of hazardous-area (Ex) electrical equipment installation, ensuring compliance with ATEX/IECEx requirements ahead of Class and statutory certification.

• Conduct specialist inspection of hazardous-area (Ex) electrical equipment installation, including junction boxes, cable glanding, and Ex-rated enclosures.
• Verify Ex-equipment installation against ATEX/IECEx certification requirements and approved Ex drawings.
• Maintain and update the Ex-integrity register, flagging any deviations for closure before commissioning.
• Witness Ex-equipment inspections and testing alongside Classification Society surveyors where required.
• Report hazardous-area compliance status and open items to the Senior/Lead Electrical Inspector.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Valid CompEX certification (or equivalent ATEX/IECEx hazardous-area competency certification) is mandatory.
• Minimum 4–6 years of hazardous-area electrical inspection experience in offshore/marine or oil & gas facilities.
• Working knowledge of ATEX/IECEx standards and Ex-equipment installation codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
