Freelance/Casuals (Care Elderly) - Part-Time

Join our CareElderly family of Active Ageing Centres to the seniors active and empowered with a renewed sense of purpose, enabling them to become channels of support in the community! With centres located at Circuit Road and Golden Ginger estate in Serangoon North, CareElderly serves seniors living in the surrounding blocks.

We welcome you to join us if:

• You have a passion and desire to work with the elderly
• You are able to engage and befriend the elderly through facilitating activities or programmes
• You have good interpersonal skills and possess energetic enthusiasm to support outreach activities and home visits
• You are able to perform administration and possess basic Microsoft Application skill sets
• You are looking for flexible work hours for minimal 4 hours per assignment a week

Frequency of commitment

At least 2 days a week (Monday to Saturday)

Available Timing for each commitment

Morning: 8.30am – 12.30pm

Afternoon: 1.30pm – 5.30pm, 4pm – 8pm (based on needs)

(Note : commitment of 4 hours in any of preferred timingabove)

Flexibility

You can choose any of the available days and slots of 4-hourwithin the week.  We areseeking individuals who are able to commit 2 days a week regularly. Servicecontract can be terminated anytime without notice period.

Service Scope

Outreach (Main Focus)

1. Block combing/door knocking on assigned blocks/units to introduce AAC services and encourage membership registration, also through distribution of flyers
2. Admin - Preparing and maintenance of records and information critical for follow-up actions, and preparing necessary reporting to (Data entry of work done, membership registration & data verification)
3. Report back to centre staff and update on outreach done for the day/any follow-ups required

Befriending & Buddying / Outreach for current members

1. Visit seniors who are under Befriending & Buddying List (once a week/once a month)
2. Check-in/home visit for current seniors who are members
3. Admin – Data entry through online forms on work done

Centre Activity/Programmes (where necessary only)

1. Assist centre staff in running programmes/facilitate simple programmes
2. Admin – Data entry for work done

Preferred Requirements

1. Prior experience in home visiting/block combing
2. Have worked/volunteered with seniors
3. Able to work independently / do home-visiting alone
4. Able to do online form filling / basic administrative duties

Service Payment

$12 per hour (no CPF)
