Inspector- Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) - Part-Time

Designation : Inspector
Location : Bendemeer
Working hours : 44 hours in a week.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections and audits in accordance with SOPs and WSH legislation.
• Prepare for inspections by reviewing workplace information and previous inspection records.
• Inspect workplaces, interview personnel, assess working conditions, and collect relevant evidence.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend or carry out follow-up actions.
• Prepare and submit inspection/investigation reports within prescribed timelines.
• Update inspection findings in the Authority's system and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with employers, occupiers, and relevant stakeholders on inspection outcomes.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry and report compilation.
• Attend meetings, interviews, and court proceedings when required.

Professional Qualifications

Must possess one of the following:

• Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (WSQ); or
• MSc in Safety, Health & Environment Technology (NUS); or
• Bachelor qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety / Human Factors in Safety / Health, Safety & Environment / Safety, Health & Environmental Management from recognized universities.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, analytical, report writing, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements (For Risk Management Audit & Training Provider Inspections)

• Audit experience is preferred.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower is preferred.
