Work you will do:

This role sits within the SAP team of Deloitte Southeast Asia and focuses on leading SAP S/4HANA Finance functional design and delivery for a strategic Singapore transformation programme. The SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Lead is responsible for translating finance business requirements into practical SAP solutions, managing functional deliverables, and supporting successful project execution aligned with client objectives:

• Lead SAP S/4HANA Finance functional design and delivery across key finance areas, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Project Management, Bank Communication Management, Treasury-related integration, and finance integration with upstream and downstream processes.
• Facilitate business workshops, fit-to-standard discussions, design review sessions, and user walkthroughs with client finance stakeholders, business process owners, IT teams, and Deloitte project teams.
• Translate finance and integration requirements into clear functional deliverables, including process flows, requirement traceability, functional specifications, test scripts, cutover inputs, configuration rationale, and user sign-off documentation.
• Lead and review WRICEF-related functional design for SAP Finance, including custom reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, validations, substitutions, Fiori-related enhancements, payment and banking outputs, and finance cockpit / approval related requirements.
• Coordinate closely with OTC,PTP, technical, integration, data migration, security, and testing teams to ensure end-to-end finance processes are complete, accurate, and aligned across the SAP S/4HANA landscape.
• Support SAP Finance configuration, solution validation, defect triage, issue resolution, data migration validation, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness activities.
• Provide practical SAP Finance advisory to client stakeholders on leading practices, process controls, approval workflows, posting logic, financial integration, reconciliation, and operational readiness.
• Manage project delivery responsibilities including status tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder alignment, resource coordination, and quality review of functional deliverables.
• Guide junior consultants and cross-functional team members to ensure high-quality delivery, clear documentation, and timely completion of assigned project activities.

Enough about us, let's talk about you. If you are someone with:

• A good Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on SAP Finance functional consulting experience, preferably across full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, rollout, or large-scale finance improvement programmes.
•  Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance experience across FI and CO, including Record-to-Report, Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, integration with Materials Management and Sales & Distribution, and finance period-end processes.
• Practical experience in SAPS/4HANA Finance solution design, configuration support, functional specification preparation, WRICEF design review, integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover preparation, and post-go-live support.
• Experience or exposure in Project System / CAPEX, Cash Management, Bank Communication Management, payment processes, bank interfaces, Treasury-related integration, workflow approvals, Fiori applications, and finance controls would be advantageous.
• Ability to facilitate effective business workshops, lead target-state design discussions, challenge requirements constructively, and convert business needs into practical SAP functional solutions.
• Strong understanding of finance business processes, industry nuances, internal controls, approval governance, data migration, system integration, and SAP leading practices in the area of focus.
• Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management, issue resolution, project coordination, functional documentation, and delivery within a multi-cultural consulting environment.
• Ability to lead teams, coach junior resources, manage competing priorities, and maintain delivery quality under project timelines.
• Sound business acumen, teamwork, leadership qualities, and the ability to communicate effectively with client stakeholders, Deloitte leadership, technical teams, and cross-functional process teams.
• Willingness to work outside of office base and, most of all, an appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel locally and abroad as required for short-term and long-term project assignments.
